ILLU Laboratories Hellas developed the innovative skincare line ILLU that combines powerful ingredients from the plentiful Greek nature and cutting-edge technology that boosts the products’ efficiency.

We were assigned to create the brand from scratch based on its unique traits and points of distinction. The goal was to gradually build all the elements necessary for launching the product line successfully into the highly competitive skincare market.

We began by devising a brand strategy, collecting valuable insights through market and competition research, and discussing our findings with the people behind ILLU. 

Based on our preparatory work, we created the name ILLU, inspired by the word “illuminate,” subtly expressing the product line’s promise of high-quality, skin-illuminating facial care. Next, we designed the logotype, a clear, sophisticated wordmark representative of the brand’s premium character. The logo design also set the tone for the visual identity, the aesthetic rule for any future promotional material and applications, print or digital.

For the packaging, we went with a minimal approach, albeit with a couple of special touches. On the outside, we set the logo in golden print. On the inside, we printed a few rays of light to evoke the product’s illuminating properties. Finally, we carefully crafted a suite of promotional materials (photo and video shoot, brochure, digital presentation) consistent with the brand’s identity and strategy to use during the official launch.
